Kahlenberg Industries adds High Speed Heavy Duty CNC Turning Center
As part of a continuing program to expand and improve its facility with the latest technology in CNC machining, Kahlenberg Industries is pleased to announce the addition of a new high speed, heavy duty, slant bed turning center with live tools to its list of machining equipment.
Well known for supplying a wide variety of machined components, including larger turned parts of up to 84’’ diameter to heavy industry, Kahlenberg adds the Samsung SL45 Turning Center to machine turned components up to 24’’ diameter by 86’’ long. With a tool indexing time of .2 seconds and a rigid 45 deg. slant bed, the SL45 is an unmatched combination of speed, accuracy, and heavy duty capability. Ideal for machining parts that include additional milled or drilled features in a single setup, the SL45 in the hands of a skilled machinist provides an obvious benefit to Kahlenberg customers: a significant savings of time and money.
Scheduled to start production in July of 2011, the new Samsung SL45 Turning Center will add capacity for additional work in the Kahlenberg facility as well as improve machining efficiency of some parts currently in production.
